Every piece is wheel-thrown, then carefully carved using an inlay technique that reveals flowing mineral-like lines, echoing the veins found deep within stone.
The textured and weathered surface is meant to evoke a sense of stillness, permanence and endurance. Subtle ember tones emerge naturally during firing, recalling the image of iron-rich rocks warmed by the sun and adding depth and character to each individual piece. No two pieces are ever identical. Like the landscapes that inspired them, they carry the marks of time with quiet confidence.
